A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE: BIVOUAC AT THE BASTILLE!
I dream - I act
Published on 05/02/2022
Come and spend an immersive night in a natural environment at the gateway to the city and the mountains! From tonight, you can sleep at the Bastille! Between the city and the mountains, a temporary bivouac area has been installed at the top of the Bastille for a period of 5 months.
As part of Grenoble Green Capital of Europe 2022, the City of Grenoble in partnership with the FFCAM - Club Alpin Français and the Chartreuse Regional Nature Park, have set up a bivouac area at the Bastille, a place for environmental education and learning about bivouac.
Indeed, from 2 May to 2 October 2022, refuge wardens will take turns every evening (except Sundays) to introduce you to bivouac. Sound advice, essential gestures and good practices for learning how to sleep in the mountains without leaving traces will be at the heart of the discussions.
These huts were designed and built by students from the Grenoble School of Architecture ENSAG. We invite you to discover the backstage of the bivouac in video:
